Birdie Pin Cushions

Am branching into an exciting new direction these days, taking various things I've designed over the years,  and creating a line of sewing patterns. The first crack out of the gate is the Birdie Pin Cushion. The pattern should be available for purchase by the beginning of the summer.

My illustrator daughter and I are going to collaborate on this, and on taking the stories from the interactive theatrical storytelling events that I've been doing since 2003 and making them into beautiful children's books.

We'll also have patterns for many of the characters and costumes in these stories, including Bald Beatrice the Baby Mermaid, Admiral Giddy-up the Seahorse, Flower Fairies, Stink Bugs,  Rainbow Pixies, Mr. Sandman, and many many more. I have designed over 100 items.

You will be able to purchase ones that are already made, or buy the patterns and make them yourself!

This is going to be a fun and rewarding endeavor, and everything is going to look very artistic and amazing and fun. So excited and focused.

Birdie Pin Cushions are about " high. The bird hat is full of crushed walnut shells to keep your needles sharp, and her skirt holds pins. Her "blouse" is made with ribbon.

Birdie Pin Cushions will be available for purchase at The Phoenixville Farmer's Market just in time for Mother's Day. Stop by the ArtyPantz booth this Saturday May 12 from 9 to 1:00 to say hello.
