Victoria, I'm finally getting to explore your blog. Love, love, loved the proma-drama! reminded me of all the handmades my mom created. Love that your mom comments! Keep up the real life writing - fun and inspiring. Heather
Okay, I'm not ANONYMOUS - just a blogging virgin. Been reading a lot about blogging - hoping to take a summer vacation to the bloggasphere to see what all the buzz is about. Thanks for inspiring me! Heather
I've just read through the blurbs about the makings (or unmakings) of the dress. It turned out lovely, and she looks quite beautiful. I chose not to go to my prom- this was in 1974- instead, a group of 10guys, and 10 girls, went into NYC. Drinking at 18 was legal at the time, so we just went bar/nightclub hopping! The guys' night was made when we saw Wilt Chamberlain, and we girls were pretty excited too- we had an hour in the company of Greg Allman- who tried to convince one of the girls to go with him that night. To my surprise, both my daughters went to a couple of their proms, as did my sons. It was a lot easier sending the boys- with the girls? The hair/nails/dress/shoes-oh man- too much to think about! I hope your daughter enjoyed herself. j.
