Today we made farms. I cut out red barns from red construction paper, including doors and upper windows both with flaps for opening and closing. I glued them onto white paper, then gave them to the kids to create their own little farm scenes.
We just happened to be sitting downwind from a Salsa Making Contest and it smelled so good all morning, and, as usual it was a fun and happy day in Phoenixville. I'll be there next month with a spider making activity. It was so popular last year, we just have to do it again.
Love that scarecrow!
Starting November I will be conducting ArtyPantz Creative Family Activites starting the third Saturday of October from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at the fabulous Earth Mart in Phoenixville. Stay tuned for more information on that.........

That's a great idea and the kid's work is adorable! How wonderful for you to share your time and self to help.
This is a great idea and probably gives some children an opportunity to create art that they may not have had.
Super!
Thanks so much for dropping by my blog! And thanks for your remarks (I adore blue herons!) Keep me on your drop list to help me check back often...sorry, like you, I get swept away and overwhelmed...but your blog is really lovely!

Great activity! I would send my kids to you if I were in PA.
Now that I'm living closer to my Great Niece and Great Nephew, I'll be sure to put this project on my list!
