RUG HOOKING

3.5 foot long from head to toe. Radiant Heart Doll. Hooked stitch by stitch with wool strips onto linen, cotton hair, stuffed with Eco fill. Ta Da!

My Radiant Heart Doll in progress! Can’t wait to finish it and pose it on a chair. This doll will be jointed.

Working on a large almost life size doll. Next step is to hook the pieces for jointed arms and legs. Then sew each piece to a backing, turn them all right side out, stuff and sew together! Stay tuned. This is an ongoing project

I use rug hooking to create 3 D creations. One little loop at a time. Joking tell people that I hook when I’m not doing anything else. It’s very meditative.

These are some of the members of the Peace Chicken Collection.

Each one has a little peace necklace on. They have fabric tags on the back that are dated and numbered. The large woman. holding the rooster was made into a sleeve that a piece of wood was slid into to create a means by which to hang on the wall.

These angels actually match my paintings! Painting on the left was done about three years ago, the one on the right back in the early 80's.
